E-Devlet Maternity Allowance and Aid Application Status Inquiry

E-Devlet Maternity Allowance and Aid Application Status Inquiry

Mothers-to-be have maternity leaves taken as they approach childbirth during their pregnancy. Working women can take an 8-week pre-birth and 8-week post-birth maternity leave, and during this period, the wages for the days they do not work are paid by the state. Along with the maternity allowance, the breastfeeding allowance is also paid. Furthermore, the Ministry of Family and Social Services provides aid under the name of Maternity Aid to mothers who give birth alive and are citizens of the Republic of Turkey, or to the Turkish citizen father if the mother is not a citizen of the Republic of Turkey or has passed away, provided that the application conditions are met. It is possible to check and track all of these through E-Devlet. For information on this matter and to ask your questions, you can look at the relevant online firms on internet pages and examine them in detail here.

What is Maternity Allowance?

Maternity allowance is the payment made by the state for the periods you are unable to work, based on the work incapacity report issued by the doctor within the last 7-9 months of your pregnancy, which is not paid by the employer. In a normal pregnancy, it is the duration of a 16-week work incapacity period, with 8 weeks before birth and 8 weeks after birth. In cases of multiple pregnancies, this situation is processed as 10 weeks before birth and 10 weeks after birth, totaling 20 weeks.

What is Breastfeeding Allowance?

Along with the maternity allowance, the breastfeeding allowance is paid by the state, amounting to approximately 200-400 TL. Like the maternity allowance, the pregnancy payments a mother receives from the state are calculated and paid upon the completion of her post-birth report.
