How Do I Find Out Where to Vote?
An election is the act of selecting through voting. It is an action carried out by all Turkish citizens at times determined by the Supreme Election Council. When elections are to be held, about a month before the election, voter papers are sent to the homes of all eligible citizens, stating where they will vote. If this paper is damaged or lost in any way, where to vote can be easily learned in two ways: first, through the Supreme Election Council's website, and second, through e-government.
Through the Supreme Election Council's Website
How to query voter registration through the Supreme Election Council's website? First, enter the Supreme Election Council's website by typing “YSK” in the internet search bar. Then, two options will appear on the screen. You need to proceed according to whether you are inside or outside the country. If you continue with the option for being inside the country, some fields must be filled in on the page that opens. Depending on the type of query, one of the options (old ID card or new ID card) should be selected, the province registered in the population registry should be specified, the ID number and the order number in the population registry should be entered, and finally, the verification code should be written, and the text at the bottom should be clicked for the query. By following these steps, one can naturally access their voter registration and thus where they will vote. Where to vote can also be learned through the Supreme Election Council in another way. As soon as you enter the Supreme Election Council's website, the call center number appears on the screen. You can learn where to vote by calling this number.
Through E-Government
Learning where to vote through e-government is similar to the Supreme Election Council's website. First, you should go to the e-government website and log in using your Turkish ID number and e-government password. It is possible to obtain an e-government password through PTT, mobile signature, e-signature, Turkish ID card, or internet banking. You need to pay 2 TL for the e-government password obtained through PTT. You must obtain a password through one of these methods and log in to the system. Then, you should search by typing "domestic voter registration query" in the search box and click on the first link on the page that opens. If you do this, the link for voter registration query from the Supreme Election Council Presidency will appear on the page, and you should click on this link. In this case, as with the Supreme Election Council, both your phone number and internet connection will appear on the screen. Both options can be used. If you choose to go via the internet, you should select the links according to whether you are inside or outside the country. This selection will show whether the person is a voter and provide their voter information. You can also learn where to vote by going to the Supreme Election Council's website through e-government.
